As our economy plummets into a downward spiral more people are turning to an mlm home business as secondary means of producing income. An mlm home business can be viewed from both positive and negative aspects, so let’s break them down for you so you can see both sides of picture.
First of all, an mlm home business can create leverage in your life and produce multiple streams of income for you and your family to enjoy for years to come, but it may not be as simple as many make it out to be. Most people who decide to venture into an mlm home business, unfortunately have no experience whatsoever running and operating a successful business. But wait, isn’t that’s what asked of you when you join?
The mlm home business industry has a staggering 97% failure rate, but I guess that’s common with just about any brick and mortar business. The reason behind the large percentage of failure is simple. You work a job for twenty years and spend most of your time as an employee, working for someone else, so it’s not a big surprise that so many fail when it comes to being the boss of their own mlm home business.
So if you decide to join a mlm home business how can you immunize yourself from the 97% who fail? The key is having all the pieces of the puzzle fit together at the same time. I am going to give you a simple formula you can use to seek out the right home business and increase your chances of success.
Before you join any mlm home business make sure you research the person you are deciding to sign under. I can’t emphasize how important this step is. Many get caught up in researching the company. Now don’t get me wrong this is also equally important, but I think many don’t seem to care who they sign under, as long as the company is checks out good, that’s good enough for them. Coming from someone with seven years of experience in the industry I can tell you, you most definitely need a mentor.
Don’t get caught up in over priced opportunities and cash gifting schemes. Look for an affordable mlm home business that doesn’t require you buy expensive products on a monthly basis. Many companies make the oh so dreadful “auto ship” mandatory in order for you to receive commissions. This concept can put you out of business quicker than you get in. Also, beware of cash gifting schemes as 99% are considered illegal in most states. There is no physical product exchange. This is referred to as a get rich quick scheme. If you could really get rich quick then wouldn’t we all would be doing it?
After you have found a thriving mlm home business and have teamed up with a successful mentor, consider promoting small affiliate products that pertain to the mlm industry. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. Many successful network marketers are making a killing selling e books and how to training courses. This is a good idea for two reasons. You’re now creating multiple streams of income and you can reinvest into your business. Secondly, by marketing how to training programs and e books you are creating relationships with people, and this business is a people business. The more people that know you like you and trust you the more your business will grow.

Great post! One other thought. Consider being a "shovel seller" instead of a gold miner. Why? Because the purveyor of shovels is in the highly unusual position of counting ALL OTHER network marketers as prospects. Call me crazy, but if given the choice between sponsoring one person and sponsoring AN ENTIRE DOWNLINE, I'll take the downline every time, hands down
